Nabi Speaks Out After Chiefs-Galaxy Tie

Kaizer Chiefs coach, Nasreddine Nabi, has once again defended his players following their 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy on Saturday, 5 April.

As a result of the tie, the Glamour Boys have recorded 10 wins, six draws and 13 losses across all competitions this season. In turn, they occupy eighth place in the Premier Soccer League rankings with 30 points.

In a post-match interview with a local sports broadcaster, Nabi was adamant that Amakhosi gave everything they got against Galaxy.

“We think the players today did everything they could to get good results,” he said. “I feel we are going through a moment of bad luck because of the lack of results. But we’re going to hang in there; everyone has to push more and work hard.”

However, there was also frustration present when the 59-year-old Tunisian tactician added: “I’m tired of repeating myself every day of the opportunities that we are missing. But we should have been able to score more than one goal, but we gave the opportunity to the opponent to be alive.”

Will the Soweto giants turn their fortunes around when they meet Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup semi-final this Sunday, 13 April? As always, folks, watch this space!
